I’ve been obsessed with the broadcasting club lately, so I had a big smile on my face as I was drawing this volume’s manga. My work habits have been pretty relaxed until now, so putting out three volumes in half a year was pretty rough, but I really learned a lot from it! I’m looking forward to everyone’s reactions. Well then, happy new year~

If you're wondering who she is (outside of being the runner mentioned in Friendship Woes), she's the first-year track team member mentioned on Matsuri's apple route on 4/19.
Mutsuki Tatara
I was planning to quickly finish the story for this volume and then write another one based on Strange Magnet, but things didn’t turn out as hoped. I-it’ll happen next time though, for sure! I thought writing Ano’s character would be easy, but it gets a lot harder when she’s the main character. Well then, best wishes for you all this 2013.
Toitentsu
This marks the third volume of Kindred Spirits books. Our main focus this time was Ano and the broadcasting club. The broadcasting club members are hard to deal with on their own, but they easily come to life and liven up the story once they’re brought together, and that’s why I love them. Ano’s in a bit of a delicate narrative position, so I’m always a bit nervous when I bring her into play. I’m very particular about best friend-type characters, so I want to treat her well.
Now, I’m not sure what lies ahead for Kindred Spirits after this, but I’ll do my best to spin up different plans and try to get something made. I’ll post on Twitter or something if anything gets confirmed.
Well then, to Peg-san, who keeps providing such amazing art. And to Tatara-san, who put together such an incredible story during their free time from work. I can’t thank you two enough.
