With the summer camp that changes girls, it’s Yuritopia! This marks the second issue of this Kindred Spirits corner. Thank you all for your massive amount of submissions—we got more pages, hurray! Well then, let’s bring on the submissions.

Dear Kindred Spirits, are there any things about each other that you don’t like? If there are, I’d like to know. (They’ll probably just end up flirting with each other at the end, lol)
Sachi: “We don’t have anything like that. Right, Megumi?”
Megumi: “No, we don’t. Right, Sachi-san?”
Sachi & Megumi: “Right~?”
Yuna: (“At the end”? Yeah, right... their whole response was just them flirting!)
Megumi: “What, did you think anything else was going to happen~?”
Yuna: “And when did you start being able to read people’s minds?”
Megumi: “I don’t need to, I can already tell that that’s what you’re thinking~”
Sachi: “Fufu... Well then, Yuna-san, could you read our next submission?”

I’d like to know what kinds of tools Yuna uses in the kitchen. I don’t think that she’d be using anything out of the ordinary, but still...
Yuna: “I have all the essentials, more or less.”
Ano: “So a full knife set and everything?”
Yuna: “Well, I do have one, but I mostly just use the santoku and paring knives. I won't always have everything on hand anywhere I cook, so I try to stick with the bare essentials and make the most of them.
Ano: “Then what do you want the most for your kitchen right now?”
Yuna: “A full-sized oven. I'm not asking for one as big as the ones they have in the cafeteria, but I’d at least want one that’s as big as the one at your house, Ano.”
Ano: “You’re free to just come over and use it, y’know? I’m sure my mom would be happy to have you over.”
Hina: “You’re roasting meat?”
Ano: “For sure! Hina-chan, you should come over too~”
Hina: “Mm.”
Yuna: “A meat dish that uses the oven, huh...”
Ano: “I’m looking forward to it! Well then, it’s time for the next submission. I’m passing things over to you, broadcasting club!”

I want to know more about Nena! Like, when did she start sleeping so much, or what kinds of clothes does she like, or what kinds of games or manga is she into... I just want to know all about her~!
Umi: “We got the same question from a bunch of different people!”
Sasa: “She sure is popular. Well, back when I met her, Nena was already in her full-on Sleeping Beauty mode.”
Umi: “From what I saw in her old photo albums, it looked like she used to be properly awake until around the fourth grade.”
Nena: “That’s just because I could actually get enough sleep back then. I’ve been this sleepy ever since I was born. Back then, I'd sleep so much that you'd think I was dead, which really made my parents worry about me. So, I guess you could say that I'm sleepy all the time now out of respect for them?”
Umi: “Oh, I see, that makes sense~”
Sasa: “No, wait, there’s no way in hell that makes sense!”
Umi: “Really? Anyways, we still have questions about... let’s see... her clothes, and...”
Nena: “Time’s up, it’s about time to move on to the next submission~”
Umi: “Ah, too bad! We’ll make sure to ask them next time! Well then, Amishima-senpai, your submission please!”

I’d like to see what Matsuri and Miyu’s dates are like outside of school. I feel like they’d like going to the aquarium, but what do you think?
Matsuri: “You're right, Miyu definitely likes the aquarium. She was especially fun to watch during the orca show. She was all in awe about the amount of work that must've been needed to teach the orcas those tricks, which made her get all fired up about wanting to do her best for the club. It was really cute. And then, on the way home, she went and bought an orca plu—”
Miyu: “Matsuri, you bought a penguin hat too, didn’t you?”
Matsuri: “Urgh... Well, they might leave you with some embarrassing memories, but dates really are fun. I hope we’ll be able to show them off sometime.”
Miyu: “Someday. Well then, time to move on to the next submission.”

I think the word "yuritopia" happens to really suit Kindred Spirits, but how did you come up with it? I’d like to know any other comments you have about it as well.
I originally came up with the word while I was thinking of catchphrases for Porthole of Sapphism. I was jotting down things that would sound like something Anri would say, and “yuritopia” was one of them.
We’re almost out of space. Akabeko-san, regarding yukata outfits, some of them have been featured in the magazine column. We’ll make sure to show the rest of the characters in them too, someday! Yuritopian the Third-san, please decide on which show you’d like to see! Thank you to everyone else who submitted something, too.

The Scrapped Ano Route
This was elaborated on a bit further in the “Kokonotsuboshi Meeting #3” Q&A session on Toi Tentsu’s defunct blog, YURITOPI-EARTH. I haven’t managed to read through—let alone translate—all the archived blog posts yet, but I’ll post the relevant question and answer here:

To put it bluntly, there’s something I’ve always been wanting to ask!
In all honesty, was there... any plan at all to... create an Ano-chan route...?
Maybe this is a question I shouldn’t ask.
A: I’ve mentioned it a bit in Liar-soft’s fanclub newsletter, but there were plans for a completely independent Ano shrine maiden route in the first drafts for the game’s plot.
It got scrapped due to the direction the story ended up taking as well as the amount of work required for it.
As for the “fox lady,” the specific term used here is “狐姉さん” (kitsune nee-san), literally meaning “fox older sister,” but the term “nee-san” is also commonly used to refer to a young lady in general. It’s possible that the “fox” part could be more metaphorical than literal (particularly as Inari is the Shinto god of foxes), but I want to believe in my heart of hearts that Ano was meant to get shrine maiden training from a cute fox girl!
