The Shirojo Times, #3
TL: Mezase, Yuritopia

Yuritopia! As always, thank you for the mountain of submissions you’ve sent our way. Because of that, we’ve been able to secure even more pages for our column, but, for now, we’ll be holding back and keeping to the usual length. Well then, onto the first submission.

When I saw Kiri wearing pajamas, it made me think about all the characters having a pajama party together—it seemed like it would be fun and relaxing. Even though Tsukuyo-chan would be acting as the chaperone, she’d join in on the girls' talk and liven things up, and... I was thinking that kind of scenario could be nice. Oh, but the school trip is kind of similar, isn’t it? Even though it’s separated by school year. I’d like to hear about everyone’s school trips.
Kiri: “The school trip was fun! I went with the zoo route!”
Tsukuyo: “We certainly had fun.”
Kiri: “Tsukuyo-chan with the polar bears, Tsukuyo-chan with the wolves, Tsukuyo-chan imitating the penguins! Tsukuyo-chan picking out a plushie!!”
Tsukuyo: “Kiri, that’s enough.”
Kiri: “Whaat? But we still have Tsukuyo-chan getting sparkly-eyed as she eats a salmon roe rice bowl, or—well, I guess that’s enough for now. If I kept talking, we’d run into trouble, space-wise.
Tsukuyo: “Definitely. We’ll find an opportunity to talk more about it sometime. Look forward to it!"

Okay, everyone’s cute. But, aside from that, I think leggings are a must with short shorts. Nena-chan, licky-lick.
Nena: “.....Do I have to respond to this?”
Matsuri: “You’re totally right!”
Nena: “!?”
Matsuri: “Leggings are sporty, and they shape your legs too. Pair them with shorts, and you make an athletic girl’s best friend—a friend that doubles as a girly outfit that you can wear on the weekend. They really let you not have to compromise on your girliness, don’t you think?”
Nena: “Um, I wouldn’t know...”

To Yuna-nee and Hina-chan: Are you two the type to go on dates outside on your day off? Or are you two more the type to just relax and flirt at home? Which one is it, Yuna-nee?!
Hina: “We do lap pillows.”
Yuna: “Hina. Um, we usually laze around at home rather than go out anywhere, I think.”
Hina: “Mm, we do arm pillows too. Also, we h-”
Yuna: “Aaah! Hina, stop! Let’s go to the next submission, okay?!”

Yuna-san, have you ever made a dish that you thought you really messed up? If you did, I’d like to know.
Yuna: “I’d probably say the fried foods I made for a family gathering once. I was in a hurry because of the amount of food I had to get through, so I ended up messing up the oil temperature.”
Hina: “Ah...”
Yuna: “It was a learning experience in helping me steel my nerves when preparing food for large gatherings, but... I can’t say that I didn't feel down about it.”
From: Tagosaku
To the Kindred Spirits: If you were to go on a date, where would you like to go?
Sachi: “An amusement park!”
Megumi: “I’d love to go to one. I want to ride the roller coaster!”
Yuna: “You can fly already, so you could probably get the same experience without riding on one...”
Sachi: “I’ve always wanted to let out a good scream at a haunted house, too.”
Megumi: “Ghosts... scary! Save me, Sachi-san!”
Yuna: (Oh, they’re trying to get me to butt in, aren’t they? And if I do, I lose...)
Sachi: “It’s okay, Megumi. We’ll be fine as long as we’re together.”
Yuna: “Alright, alright. Now it’s time to pass things over to Ano.”
Sachi & Megumi: “Eh~?”

I’d like to know about Ano-chan’s otaku activities. Does she draw, perhaps?
Ano: “I just play games, watch anime, that kind of average otaku stuff~”
Kiri: “Don’t you draw, too?”
Ano: “Ah... yeah, I do. J-just a bit, though. ...Wait, when did I show you my art?”
Kiri: “Don’t underestimate the intelligence gathering capabilities of the Shirocute Group. You draw some pretty cool art, don’t you?”
Ano: “Ahahaha... Um, Kiri-san...?”
Kiri: “Don’t worry, the Shirocute Group only serves to watch over cute things. But give me a copy of your book next time, okay?”
Ano: “I-I’ll think about it.”
The next issue will be released after Kindred Spirits’ first anniversary! As we wait for this special occasion, we’ll be waiting for your submitted illustration requests, questions for the characters, personal fantasies, fanart, etc. Well then, next up is our last submission for this issue! See you next time!

When I think about the next fandisc, I can only think of how the ordinary people of Shirojo are going to be put together with people twisted with revenge or things like the Tick-Tock Man—it has me so worried, I can’t calm down.
Sachi & Megumi: “We’ll be there, and we’re not ordinary, so it’ll be okay!”
