Kindred Spirits on the Roof: Kokonotsuboshi Diaries, #3

Moistened by the rainy season, it’s yuritopia! This is the third column for the straight-on yuri game, Kindred Spirits on the Roof.

This issue’s topic is all about how everyone’s spending their early summer.

If we're talking schools, the opening of the school pool is really one of those signs that mark the start of summer. Shirojo’s school swimsuits are—you guessed it—white! Because they’re shiro (white), yo!

Catching the sight of a fellow classmate’s glistening wet skin, being able to see a look of her you normally wouldn’t be able to see... And, hm? She looks weirdly pretty like that, doesn't she? Yuri couples are born from those kinds of events, too!

At this time, firefly festivals take place throughout Shirojo's fairly rural surroundings as well.

Girls, dressed up in their own styles of yukatas, parading down the country roads. Seeing your friend, lit up under the hanging lanterns, looking as though she’s almost glowing... Of course that’d make some girls undergo a yuri awakening.

Of course, this is the first time these school swimsuits are being shown off. I feel like Hina and Maki are doing an incredibly sharp job with their warm-up exercises here.

Well then, see you next time in yuritopia!

A page split into staggered fourths, with four separate drawings. The text 'SUMMER!' is scattered across the right side of the entire image. On the top right is Ano sitting at the edge of a pool, wearing the Shirojo school swimsuit and with a swim cap in her hand. The swimsuit is a competition-style swimsuit, primarily being white, with a darker strip running from the side of the hip to the bottom of the armpit. The school's logo is visible on the left upper side of the chest area. Ano isn't wearing her glasses, and is looking up at the camera with her hair tied in a ponytail. Separately, on the left side under the previous drawing are Hina and Maki also dressed in the same school swimsuits, but with swim goggles hanging from their necks. Hina is on the left, while Maki is on the right, and both are taking the same pose of leaning to the right with their right hands on their hips, their left arms stretching up above them. Separately, on the right side underneath the prior image is a drawing of Yuna looking backwards towards the camera. Yuna appears to be at a festival and is dressed in a yukata, holding a tray of takoyaki in her right hand and a fan in her left. The heads of three unknown people are visible around her, their faces out of frame. Separately, at the bottom is a drawing of Sasa (on the left), Umi (in the middle), and Nena (on the right), with Miki also visible in the background on the left side, mostly cut out of frame. The four are all dressed in yukatas, Sasa wearing a dark one with horizontal stripes, Umi wearing one with a floral pattern, and Nena wearing a plain light-colored one. Sasa has her hair tied up in a bun on the right side of her head, and holds two cups of shaved ice in her hands as she looks towards Umi with a smile. Umi at the front, looking towards the right, seemingly taking a picture of her surroundings with her phone. Umi has her hair tied in a short ponytail, with a mask hung on the left side of her head. Nena is facing towards the right, in the middle of playing a game of ring-toss. Nena also has a mask on her head (a cat on the right side of her head), and a sparkle effect appears in front of her.
